Changing your way of thinking is often needed if you desire a change in your health. After coming to grips with my own sugar addiction, I decided to post what I’ve done for those who keep asking me how to lose weight. This 7 day detox is to be used as the precursor for a new household diet. The detox revolves around one of my favorite detox plans by Dr. Hyman. There are 4 simple steps below to get you on the right path. The most important step is Detoxing Your Kitchen, because it promotes a healthy diet during and after the 7 day detox. During the 7 day detox all gluten, dairy, alcohol, sugar (minus a of small amount of fruit), and caffeine (unless needed in a small amount) are eliminated. This detox is created for people who have busy lives, but want to make a serious change. I’ve done just about every cleanse out there and I believe Dr. Hyman’s approach of feeding your body a diet rich in fiber (its the roto rooter of your bacteria filled intestines), high quality fats, and proteins is essential for lifelong health. Simply put, what you put in your body affects what you get out of it. Your physical, mental, and emotional health are tied to what type of fuel you put in your machine. Maybe reading about my sugar addiction will help you decide if you’re ready to increase your energy level, decrease your waistline, and increase your lifeline.
